TERMS OF SERVICE
The details behind working together.
Effective Date: August 26, 2026
Welcome to Four Oak Web Design.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Four Oak Web Design website and provide general terms applicable to services offered by Four Oak Web Design (“Four Oak Web Design,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).By using this website, submitting a project inquiry, purchasing services, or entering into an agreement with Four Oak Web Design, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms, as applicable.
Our Services
Four Oak Web Design provides website design and redesign, e-commerce design, branding and graphic design, website care, and related creative and digital services.
Information presented on this website is intended to provide a general description of our services. Specific services, deliverables, pricing, timelines, and project requirements will be established separately for each client.Submitting an inquiry through this website does not create a client relationship or obligate Four Oak Web Design to accept a project.
Project Agreements
Before work begins, clients may be provided with a proposal, estimate, scope of work, contract, invoice, or other written agreement describing the specific terms of their project.
If the terms of a signed client agreement conflict with these general Terms of Service, the terms of the signed client agreement will control with respect to that project.
Changes to the agreed scope of a project may result in additional fees or adjustments to the project timeline.
Pricing and Payments
Pricing varies according to the scope and requirements of each project.Payment schedules, deposits, installment arrangements, and final payment requirements will be provided in the applicable proposal, invoice, or client agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payments already made compensate Four Oak Web Design for reserving project time and for work performed or resources committed to the project.
Clients are responsible for paying invoices according to the payment schedule established for their project.Four Oak Web Design may pause work, withhold deliverables, postpone launch, or suspend services when an account is past due.
Additional work requested outside the original project scope may require additional payment.
Deposits and Project Scheduling
When a deposit or initial payment is required, the project is not considered scheduled until the required payment and any requested agreement have been received. Estimated project dates are not guaranteed unless specifically stated in writing.
Project schedules depend upon timely communication, approvals, content, materials, and other information from the client.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide the information, content, images, credentials, approvals, feedback, and other materials reasonably necessary to complete their project.
Clients are responsible for reviewing work and providing feedback or approvals within requested timeframes.
Delays in receiving materials, feedback, approvals, or access may result in corresponding changes to the project schedule. Extended client delays may require the project to be rescheduled based upon Four Oak Web Design's availability.
Content Provided by Clients
Clients are responsible for ensuring that materials they provide to Four Oak Web Design may legally be used for their project. This includes, but is not limited to, photographs, illustrations, logos, trademarks, written content, videos, fonts, music, and other intellectual property.
By providing materials to Four Oak Web Design, the client represents that they own the materials or have obtained the necessary permission or licenses to use them. Four Oak Web Design is not responsible for claims arising from materials supplied or specifically requested by a client in violation of another party's rights.
Revisions and Changes
Projects may include a specified number or scope of revisions as described in the applicable proposal or client agreement. Requests that substantially change an approved design, add functionality, introduce additional pages or deliverables, or otherwise expand the original scope may be treated as additional work and quoted separately.
Project Delays and Inactivity
We understand that business demands can occasionally delay a project. However, significant periods of client inactivity may interfere with scheduled work for other clients. If a project becomes inactive because required materials, feedback, approvals, or communication have not been provided, Four Oak Web Design may place the project on hold and reschedule remaining work according to current availability.
Additional fees may apply if substantial additional work is required to restart or reorganize a project after an extended delay, when permitted by the applicable client agreement.
Cancellation and Termination
Either party may terminate a project according to the terms contained in the applicable client agreement. If a client cancels a project after work has begun, the client remains responsible for payment for work completed and expenses incurred through the effective date of cancellation, subject to the applicable agreement. Any refund, cancellation fee, or remaining payment obligation will be determined by the client's individual agreement and the work completed or resources committed at the time of cancellation.
Four Oak Web Design reserves the right to terminate or decline a project when reasonably necessary, including in circumstances involving nonpayment, unlawful activity, abusive conduct, repeated failure to communicate, or requests that we reasonably determine we cannot or should not perform.

Four Oak Web Design may build or maintain websites using third-party platforms and services, including Wix, as well as domain registrars, hosting companies, payment processors, applications, plug-ins, integrations, stock-media providers, email providers, and other services. These third-party services operate under their own terms, pricing, policies, and technical limitations.

Intellectual Property and Ownership
Ownership of final project deliverables will be governed by the applicable client agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, ownership rights to final client-specific deliverables transfer only after all amounts due for the project have been paid in full.

Third-party materials remain subject to the licenses and ownership rights of their respective owners.
